How is 2020 shaping up for you ??
Mine has definitely been a mixed bag of highs & lows & I could in all honesty leave January back in 2019
So I am & I am starting my 2020 from February & in that case
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
I always have such excitement for a New Year, especially this New Year being a New Decade!
But sometimes it just doesn’t flow the way I would like it too
So that said, when life’s challenges get in the way
How do we maintain a our SOLID SENSE OF SELF?
How do we TRUST in the BIGGER PICTURE & remind ourselves that THIS TOO WILL PASS?
Some background …….in the past I would be at the mercy of my emotions & I would get stuck in the WORRY or ANXIETY over the emotional upheaval I was experiencing. I had trouble seeing that there would be LIGHT at the end of the tunnel & this would cause me a lot of TURMOIL & DESPAIR
Over the past few years in my HEALING journey & on my journey to EMOTIONAL & SELF MASTERY I have learnt 2 important thing & I wanted to share them with you
1) The difference between Emotions & Feelings
2) Feelings are Feedback
Lets look at number 1
What is the difference between our Emotions & our Feelings?
I’m glad you asked
EMOTIONS are simply e-motion = energy in motion
They are biochemical reactions created in the primal or Limbic System part of the brain
We each have an equilibrium of well-being, a homeostasis point that with INNER SELF DEVELOPMENT WORK can be one of PEACE, JOY,THRIVING & CONTENTMENT
Emotions are reactions to a thought or even or circumstance that come from the unconscious part of the brain
As they are just energy in motion, if we allow them to be felt & acknowledged they can generally pass without too much upset
Some emotions we would prefer not to pass like Love & Joy & Abundance
Some we definitely want to move along & the quicker the better ie; Anxiety, Worry & Depression
Now…………. FEELINGS
Feelings are the thoughts we attach to our emotions
How we feel about the thought, event or circumstance
Feelings are the logical, the reason & the stories we attach to the emotion that came up for us
For example; the emotion I am having is ANXIETY, the feelings I have about that are that anxiety is a ‘bad’ emotion. The things that I tell myself about the emotions is ‘ that there is something wrong with me for feeling this way, that I am a terrible person or that Im not coping’
Now does that lend to allowing the emotion to flow in & flow out or does that exacerbate the already uncomfortable emotion, causing it to get stuck in the psyche & the body?

Now number 2 – Feelings as feedback
Our feelings are an emotional guidance tool
We are human & we are here to experience all emotions this is not a problem at all, unfortunately we cannot pick and choose only the warm, fuzzy ones
No judgement of RIGHT or WRONG, GOOD or BAD
Just conscious awareness of what those feelings are telling us If heavier emotions are not coming and going but are staying stuck in our psyche & our bodies then this is our emotional guidance telling us that something needs to change
Purely our bodies innate intelligence letting us know that we need to
VOILA
